Lester was born and raised in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, NY with the family manufacturing plant located on Bleeker and 5^th in NYC.  Simply put, Lester had grasped the art of the sale at a young age and continues to do so today. 

Working under and guided by family, Lester began his long career in children's wear while still in high school, 1955.  In four short years he was representing brands on the road all across the United States, working with everyone from mom-and-pop shops to the largest department stores in the day.  Driven and diligent, in 1974 Lester started a company called Rifle Industries and in 1991 transitioned it into a children’s wear uniform company.  By 1998, RKI, run by Lester and his son David, became a full-service manufacturer of children's uniforms, resulting in a vibrant plaid business selling to both full service and off-price retailers. In 2017, Rifle merged with A+ School Apparel. 

As markets have changed over the years, Lester has changed.  He’s seen it all and that wealth of knowledge a valuable asset to A+. 

During relaxation time, Lester enjoys working the soil gardening, building things in his back yard, playing the stock market and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
